While I can see the potential safety benefits of a dedicated airstrip, I am very much against increased seaplane usage on the lake - traffic is already significant

I have been boating and hanging out on Lake Union since i was 3. A UW crew team coxswain, I dealt with sea planes regularly, some pilots more courteous than others. The current volume is crazy and letting this company take over public water space is astonishing that we would even consider. Air and noise pollution alone should make this a firm no, let alone it being Seattle's water livingroom.

The lake is for everyone, as a city park should be. Taking it over by for-profit interests to benefit the few is counter to the use and importance of this centerpiece of our city.

The lake is for the public good of ALL, not private enterprise. It is the heart and center of Seattle in many ways. Don’t compromise it for $$$$$.

The whole point of sea planes is that entire bodies of water are the runway. If a dedicated runway is necessary, make it on land or use and existing land runway using airplanes with wheels.
