Keeping lake Union open as a public place is vital in maintaining the culture of Seattle. Sailing, rowing, boating, etc. are a big part of what makes Seattle a special place to live and it is important that we preserve that culture.

I did not pay taxes to clean Lake Union for years only to have it sold to an airline.

No! No! No! Public waters should not be taken from the public! There is no way that Kenmore Air should be given this type of exclusive use.

I’m active in the rowing community. I would hate to see this a private company take over party of this beautiful lake instead of keeping it for public use.

There should be no "Private" waterways in the State. The people own the lake. If Kenmore Air is unhappy here, perhaps they could move to Kenmore.

One of the many important aspects of Seattle are the public nature spaces. Lake Union, while in some ways partially commercialized already, remains one of the most accessible water features for much of Seattle's inhabitants, providing outdoor recreation (sailing, kayaking, boating, etc.) and a place to view and contemplate nature and the beauty of our city. Preserve this forever and for all!

As a Seattle resident and Lake Union recreational use, I support the petition to prevent Kenmore Air from creating an off-limits runway on Lake Union and support the request for public comment and a comprehensive plan involving all stakeholders.

The lake is for all us not not just a few for profit users! i f the seasplanes can't live with the rest of us they should move their base to more open waters on Lake Washington not steal rights from the rest of the users.

This is too important an issue not to take the time for public hearings, land use and environmental impact studies, etc. One user should not dictate the use of the entire lake. We have lived on the lake since 2004 and so far we have all worked together to create an equitable solution for its use both alongside it and within it, the Westlake cycle track being a great example. It was lengthy, but complete, all voices were heard, input received and taken into consideration. Let's take the time to do this correctly. Thanks.

Kenmore Air has a facility in Kenmore, WA called Kenmore Air Harbor. Lake Union is 100% marketing and convenience for their operations and customers. The idea that they *need* this area in Lake Union under the guise of public safety for their for-profit company is laughable.

I live and work on Lake Union, frequently commuting across the lake. The establishing of a restricted seaplane airport on Lake Union would be a disaster for me.
