Political redistricting escapes the notice of most people until it directly affects them. If you live in Kentucky's Sixth Congressional District and care anything about smaller government, lower taxes, less debt and getting rid of Barack Obama's horrible policies, then this process directly affects you. Political insiders in both parties appear to have worked out a deal to remove the Sixth's three most conservative counties (Jessamine, Garrard and Scott) to help Rep. Ben Chandler more easily avoid defeat at the hands of a candidate who more closely aligns with our values. There are better alternatives in this process than making the Bluegrass region a sure thing for liberal Democrats.
