please visit Golden Gate Park in San Francisco before making a decision about a disk golf course in a peaceful natural area like Kelly Park Orchard. Severe bark damage caused ny 50 mph disks, habitat destruction, ground cover trampling, and a crowding out of pedestrian use are a few of the results. Disc gof is not a harmless sport. check out: savemclarenpark.org for info.

I do not live in San Jose any longer but I spent 40 years living there & still visit often my daughter in San Jose. I took my children to Kelley Park when they were younger. Please do not destroy the orchard.

This is truely valuable history for our children. It is also along the riparparian (sp) coridor that must be preserved for conservations reasons.

I have lived here for many years and have watched all the orchards turn into housing developments. This park has the last remaining orchard and must be preserved for the benefit of the entire city's population.
An orchard adjacent History Park is a perfect fit to show San Jose's agricultural history.

This is a hidden gem. A place of respite and beauty. I don't think the orchard is a place for disc golf (it's super cool, just not at the expense of the Orchard).

This space is not uniquely qualified for the proposed purpose; there is no compelling reason to entertain this proposal. It is unacceptable to develop this orchard; it has been entrusted to the City's care and we the People expect the city to preserve this piece of history and heritage for future generations.
