I grew up on an orchard in the east San Jose foothills. The Kelley Park Orchard Park is an important part of my cultural heritage. Please preserve it. Thank you.

There is already an under used disc golf park nearby. How about leaving some open space for folks who enjoy bird watching and taking a walk in a quiet serene environment. Our society is so fast paced and stressful - I need places such as the orchard to recharge and de-stress. No development here please.

There is no greater entertainment than observing nature & wildlife at it's finest. Destroying such beauty for development is unconscionable. Please DO NOT DISTURB THE NATURAL BEAUTY of this area.

Why would anyone want to tear down one of the last remaining orchards? This is a hugh part of the Valley's history and should be preserved for all generations.

As a resident of San Jose I would like to have the Kelley Park Orchard maintained in its present state, my family and I enjoy the open space and wildlife viewing. A golf course or development of this beautiful area would degrade the site and increase water usage and especially high usage of chemicals in the form of pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers. Please preserve the the site in its present form for the residents of San Jose to enjoy.

People of Santa Clara County voted to protect open space and I think it is important that those votes are heard.

disc golf, like club golf, requires its own dedicated course for personal/bystander safety issues and it also requires and thorough environmental impact study prior to installation. disc players can be extremely harsh to the course over a very short amount of time. need to understand the issues before approval.

Save this as a reminder of what this Valley was. We need open space, and to see the orchard!

Haven't we destroyed and degraded enough of our Santa Clara Valley natural and human history? We compromised away almost all of it. Preserve what remains! Use funds to restore wildlife habitat and historical agricultural uses.

San Jose needs smart development. We need to stop development in our few remaining green spaces and protect these fragmented habitats including the species that live in them.

San Jose does not need any more golf parks. This park is visited by many locals and families by the surrounded cities. In addition its a home to many local birds that need homes. By eliminating this orchard park will destroy what makes this park special its history and the many public events held by Master gardeners an educators, that many locals love.

This is a piece of city history and blends well with the larger park. Disc golf is better positioned on private land rather than in a community park, particularly in a city like San Jose which lacks sufficient park space for the million residents.

No Disc Golf in Kelley Park
Disk golf will destroy a place like this!
