I have traveled along this road my entire life. Don't destroy it's beauty by turning it into a high speed, high danger danger, and ugly thoroughfare.

Please leave the trees and natural beauty of Hwy 174! Even if you fix the road some people will still drive like idiots!

Nothing is wrong with 174 the way it is. Spend all that money where it's really needed, and it isn't 174.

That proposed widening is insane.

Leaved 174 alone. Fix 49!

More traffic at higher speeds is not safer . I use the gauge trail daily , which is threatened.

Please don’t turn 174 into another accident filled 49! Many use 174 INSTEAD of 49 because it’s slower and safer. Straighten its beautiful curves and people will go FASTER.

There are MUCH better alternatives to the costly Caltrans proposal. Let's come together as a community to come up with those alternatives and not destroy the neighborhoods along the road and the beauty of the area. It ISN"T necessary to provide safety. And we should have to spend milliions and design hwys for drunk drivers!! Julie

Do not go forward with this project that will destroy a road I enjoy driving on 2 days a week to Sacramento. I have driven this road since then 1968 and if you drive safe it is a good road . It does not make sense. If your in a hurry drive highway 49.

Why? This money could go toward so many other needful things!

This project will destroy a short but very scenic California byway; it will look like so many other busy highways and not be any the safer for the destruction.

Useless makework for CalTrans. Add in the 14-acre Eminent Domain siezures, and you have a true debacle.

I love to drive on the windy, tree lined 174 because it makes me slow down and appreciate the rural area that I chose to live in. We don't need to change HWY 174.

The safety issues can be addressed with a much smaller scale project

Would sure like to find something that deserves the financial and moral support of the community to spend our tax dollars on.

I think we should keep this area rural

My wife and I fully support your efforts to stop the current Caltrans plan. Please advise of future meetings.
