the improvements should be limited to a turn lane at Greenhorn Access Road to Rollins Lake and NID should pay for the improvements since they are the beneficiaries of the fees charged for the use of the lake via that access point!

This is crazy as it only benefits Caltrans. Let's spend state money more efficiently.
Caltrans will destroy the current beauty of driving Hwy174.

I thought HWY 174 was an Historic highway? Leave Historic HWY 174 alone or it will loose that designation allowing more development .....

I agree with Phil's suggestions. Count me in on anything I can do to either stop this project or at least postpone and reevaluate with local input.

I live right off the 174 coming out of Grass Valley and am greatly concerned about this proposal and the negative impact it would bring.

When I first started looking to relocate to Nevada County, I will never forget the first time I drove on 174. I was so taken by its beauty and now 7 years later I'm awed that I live hear and drive 174 everyday. Please do not destroy its beauty by this. overkill proposal!

This outrageous project is putting $$ into the hands of contractors who will make a good profit. We need to counter their lobbying and understand who they are working with in CalTrans.

Caltrans! Don't waste money on destroying trees and land for such little effect!
