The dammed pond is now part of the stable habitat. Removing it will just disrupt the ecology.

I run by this pond a few times a week on my running route, many animals find it home and it is the most enjoyable part of my run. It’s beautiful and an important part of the neighborhood.

As a former resident of Middletown and I frequently drive by the area please keep the pond for the water animals/creatures. Have we not destroyed enough of areas?

That pond has been there over 40 years! I fished it as a kid. The pond is part of the ecosystem! Why drain it? So u can expose more land to build houses in Westfield? Enough is enough!

All of the wildlife that has called this home would be forced to leave if the pond is gone. I love going to see all the ducks, migratory birds- Great Blue Heron, Osprey, ducks, the beavers, Geese and more. Its a great place to have so close to home!

This is such a beautiful and unique setting. We should be preserving this ecosystem, not destroying it.
