Long story short: Governor Barbour is planning to cut the Special Education and gifted programs in schools statewide and Phil Bryant, the lieutenant governor, is scared to disagree. It is vital that this is stopped any way it can be stopped. We are planning to make a PSA directed toward Bryant to peacefully remind him that we put him in office and that education should be at the top of his list. Also, to show him the faces and make him listen to the voices of we, the students and teachers and parents, who will be affected the most by these cuts. It will show different teenagers addressing him directly and asking who he stands for. These cuts are unacceptable and we will not stand for it. Sign this petition to show your outrage.

The momentum behind this effort has reached a level that validates our collective concerns regarding the proposed education cuts. This progress signifies that our message is resonating with the public and reaching the individuals responsible for these policy decisions.
