I walk almost every day in this park, used to play games in the field with friends, and have often gone here for photography and working on drawings. It would be a damn shame if this field was changed.

My children, who are adults now, played on Duffy Field both informally and especially when it was first fixed up for use by the Jesse Burkett Little League in around 1999 or so. The beauty of the field has always been the sounds and sights of families and their kids enjoying the open space.
Solving Doherty High School's athletics problem should do harm to the surrounding area by locking everyone else out of a community treasure. Duffy field plays an important role in the Moreland St. neighborhood and should be preserved as a green and open space vital to the modern, liveable, sustainable city. As is, it will both allow for a healthy urban lifestyle and attract more young families to Worcester.

We need to keep green spaces open for youth and families to gather and play. It is essential neighborhoods have spaces such as Duffy Field that are within walking distance.

I would hate to see this park paved over for parking and a football field. It is a great open area for the neighborhood to enjoy flat outdoor natural space.

This field is used by everyone in our neighborhood. Please don't make this turf! Grass is natural. It's safer than turf. It would be a waste of money for our city.

I live near Duffy Field. I walk my dog there, play games with my son. When he was younger, he played on the playground. It's part of our neighborhood. Can we live without it? Of course. However, it is a shame to lose a public park used by many Worcester residents.

This is a ridiculous use of public space. Go to St Peter Marion, use the new one across town. Other sports have to find their way to their venue. We don’t need that many fields for single use. This town has too many already.

This is such a terrible idea for so many reasons. Please find some other spot for high school sports that won't destroy a beautiful, peaceful, all-inclusive gathering place for people of all ages. Leave Duffy alone!

While I do not live near this field, I often visit. Similarly, my sons often met friends there for frisbee. They played sports at Doherty and felt they had fine access to playing fields.
