I oppose the stormwater solution that will negatively impact the Crow Island Woods, which is an important open space, park and hiking trail for the community.

What a shame to convert this space for rainwater overflow. Find something else, or be creative as the Corp of Engeneers were when they made the Lagoons.

This will never happen. The consultants were hired to list all options. Public outcry and the legalities will squash this one.

My favorite part of Winnetka is this woods. Please do not destroy it. Please save it for our children to enjoy. This is such a unique part of our village. I beg you to find another solution for the storm water. There has to be another, more suitable solution than destroying a pristine wood and building a potentially dangerous, mosquito-attracting swamp, where toxins are filtered out of the stormwater mere feet from Winnetka's most treasured elementary school. Save Crow Island Woods!!!!

I grew up in Winnetka and have settled just a bit north of this wonderful community. Crow Island Woods is a resource that will never return should it be destroyed. Don't make that mistake.

The Crow Island Woods, are a childhood memory that will never be lost. Winnetka would be doing a disservice by taking these away from the youth

It's freaking park land that's been there forever and benefits this community more than this money sucking storm drain project has. Please don't destroy something we all know in love.

We have lived on the south side of Crow Island Woods for 34 years.
This is forever wild land in a residential area.
It is a woods next to an historic landmark elementary school.
Water run off should go to a non-residential area.
Village Trustees should never have allowed a Crow Island Woods to be considered as a possible site for a reservoir. It should be protected in perpetuity.

I spent so many wonderful springs and summers playing in these woods as a student at Crow Island and I would be crushed to see them destroyed! These gorgoeus woods house the memories of so many generations of children at this elementary school, and I am one of them. I urge you to sign this petition to allow other kids to have the same opportunities I did to explore and make memories in these woods!
