Disappointing that the Council keep on trying to force this option through - worse attitude than the Brexit remainers.

When there is another site available for the school why would you want to take away the field that provides grass roots rugby to an entire community

Children need a place to play in a safe environment, this is one to keep. Please save this playing field.

The school & field can both be saved. Let's hope the council look at the suggested dingle site & provide adequate evidence that they have done so.
Road safety access will have the exact same risks if the school is built on the field or the old school site, in the proposed plans, but if not questioned the council will encourage & allow people to think otherwise. But the council are happy to put a games area on the old school site, where children will be exposed to the same road conditions, if not worse as parents/carers/lollipop person won't even be around then to supervise (even though they are not replacing the existing recreational facilities as promised!)
Hoping the community can pull together for everyone's future in the village!

This playing field is the heart and soul of the community and it is there for the express purpose for the youth of the village to use it for sporting purposes in safe surroundings.Much thought has has gone to make this field a protected field.I think it will be a callous move to change this. Please leave our field alone and let it thrive as a sporting field.

We need to keep this protected field for the purpose of our children's recreation & development. There are not many open & safe spaces like this available in Merthyr. It would be such a shame that other identified sites that had previously housed schools are not used & this site is used to build the school.

We need to keep these playing fields for the generations of rugby playing children and adults that use them. It will be a disgrace if the school is built on them, an absolute disgrace!

My son has used this field for his rugby training and games for many years it is vital that this area is kept green to support local rugby teams and the continued health benefits that sport provides!
