Something like 8 proposed sites ,a few which met the criteria for good access and enough space for the building.
Surprise surprise we end up with the location that the council wanted .
I hope 'fields in trust 'will intervene?

Playing fields should remain as they were intended. New Ysgol-y-Graig primary school should be built on V & P area in the Cefn Cied.

I would like Goetre Coed field to remain as a playing field as my grandchildren my daughter sin in law and myself use the field for meeting up watching the mini rugby teams and also for future generations to use the field to just escape and enjoyvthe fresh air and interact and meet people from all walks of life

It's a disgrace that they want to build the new school on the playing fields when there are other brownfield sites available - this should. It be allowed

Would there be an access problem if they were building houses on the old school site ?? they'd soon find an answer with a pocket full of 'brown envelopes'

The local elections are coming, use your votes and get shot of this useless labour run council. If the town had a grandmother they'd try selling her too!!!

This field should be kept for recreation purposes and the congestion it will cause severe inconvenience to the householders.

Selling the playing fields is always a quick, short term fix to a problem. It's the loss of those playing fields that will lead to longer term problems - for individuals, the community and the local authorities who know this when they take backhanders off developers in many forms! Cefn Coed introduced me to many friends on the rugby field as opposition. You can't put a price on that! SAY NO - NOT NOW, NOT EVER TO BUILDING ON PLAYING FIELDS!

There must be an alternative site that the school can be built on that would not result in the loss of a field used by hundreds of children every week.
