The feedback coming in highlights how deeply this field is woven into our daily lives and our sense of community. We are currently organizing the information we have gathered to ensure our perspective is clear when we present it to the planning committee.

Reaching one hundred signatures marks a quiet shift in our collective efforts to protect Godre'r Coed Playing Field. It is reassuring to see so many neighbors acknowledge the value of this green space as more than just a potential construction site.

Something like 8 proposed sites ,a few which met the criteria for good access and enough space for the building. Surprise surprise we end up with the location that the council wanted . I hope 'fields in trust 'will intervene?

We need to keep this protected field for the purpose of our children's recreation & development. There are not many open & safe spaces like this available in Merthyr. It would be such a shame that other identified sites that had previously housed schools are not used & this site is used to build the school.

I have two sons who both play rugby for Cefn Coed RFC. They absolutely love the team spirit and can't wait to see the friends that they have made since they started playing. It gets them outdoors in all weather and encourages exercise, confidence and wellbeing. Please save our fields.

As a current player of cefn coed rfc this would be a catastrophic loss for the club. It being a training facility for all mini and junior teams assosciated with the club and senior teams. Also loosing a match day facility could have massive impact on all teams.

With a growing childhood obesity issue in the UK removing a popular green field site that is used constantly for sport and recreation should not go ahead. Especially when there are several suitable sites for a new school.

The obvious place to build the new Ysgol y Graig primary school is in the middle of the village on the old Vaynor and Penderyn School site. This has multiple entry points and would be easy for parents/school children when starting and finishing school

Playing fields should remain as they were intended. New Ysgol-y-Graig primary school should be built on V & P area in the Cefn Cied.

I would like Goetre Coed field to remain as a playing field as my grandchildren my daughter sin in law and myself use the field for meeting up watching the mini rugby teams and also for future generations to use the field to just escape and enjoyvthe fresh air and interact and meet people from all walks of life
