Time free the banks to start by cleaning up their own mess first.
There only scared that credit unions are doing a lot better job of it.

The banks got a bailout to the tune of nearly 70 billion yet 5 million is the price to close a pillar of the community. Credit unions are expected to operate like banks however they can't by the nature of the business

I've been using the Charleville Credit Union since I was a child. It was my introduction to banking system and where I used to buy Sammy Stamps that made saving interesting to a child. It provides small loans to members of a small town, my father used to it for a loan to buy a van for his plumbing business. He's used to it to provide for our family for ten years. It's deeply necessary in this community

I have been a member of this credit union for 30 odd years, I remember the days of Sammy stamp coming to school to encourage saving. It would be a great disservice to the town and surrounding catchment areas for this credit union to be completley shut down. It's a disgrace how it was handled on Friday. It brings new meaning to Friday the 13th and casts a very grave shadow on the town of Charleville.

Neither my father, Joe Lambert, nor his co-founders, would have allowed such a shameful act. It is imperative that the Charleville Credit Union stays open, and remains open for good. Issues must be acknowledged and addressed, and new strategies implemented, for the good of the town, its people, and its founding members.
Because it is needed by the community.

Abolish the central banks not our credit unions!!
