Fantasy football brethren it is time to stand up to the injustices perpetuated by The Man against one of our brothers. Cameron Pettigrew, a hard working relationship manager at Fidelity ,was fired recently after company officials discovered two instant messenger conversations that related to fantasy football. According to the Star Telegram, "He never had a warning in his 2  1/2 years at the company... [and] missed out on thousands of dollars because his 401(k) retirement plan was not vested." Cameron himself stated, "Firing a guy for being in a $20 fantasy league? Let’s be honest; that’s a complete overreaction. In this economic time, especially. To fire people over something like this, it’s just cold." In addition to Cameron, 3 other fantasy football commissioners were fired. Please sign the petition to help get Cameron his job back. We need to take a stand now and preserve our right to fantasy football. Thank you Fleaflicker (www.fleaflicker.com)

The current level of engagement has secured interest from two regional news outlets that are investigating the termination policies at Fidelity. I am preparing a formal dossier of these signatures to present to the company's human resources leadership during our upcoming meeting.

Are you serious? Firing a guy over fantasy football msgs? Fidelity needs to get a grip and focus on real performance instead of petty power trips. Total overreaction.

This is just wrong. 2.5 years of hard work and they cut him loose over a $20 league? Hope he gets another job soon or they realize they messed up.
