Preserve Vital Agricultural Land at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo

1965 Ag grad.

Alum here who passionately feels this petition is right.

Doesn't look like s wise decision if this will lead to all animal units be located far away from campus just to make space for concrete and horses.

Preserve the Agriculture hands-on learning facilities on campus!

So sad. Though the school has so much to offer it is well known for its Ag. What a shame.

Cal Poly's ag land is what make it such a special school. The more land you take out of production the less attractive and effective Cal Poly programs will be. Where else in California can you learn how to milk a cow and about authors of the transcendental period...only at Cal Poly!

Please save this very important part of cal poly!!!

Learning By Doing! Please don't take away Ag land at Poly for other reasons. We need Agriculture to feed our future. Cal Poly is a wonder place to educate our future Ag entrepreneurs.

I agree that this will be the death of the dairy science department. The calpoly herd ranks #1 in the nation for type and production for the jersey herd and has numerous awards for the Holstein herd. This land needs to stay in use for agriculture purposes. Not parking lots.

Once you start getting rid of the land needed for agricultural programs, you take away from one of the few colleges known for their great hands on ag programs. Many students that aren't ag majors take part in the ag classes offered. So it affects more than just the direct ag department, but quality of learning for many seemingly unrelated Cal Poly students.

Learn by doing Cal Poly... Don't take out the DO, for the Ag programs just because the take more space.

Save the character of Cal Poly! Keep the Ag land for agriculture, please!!

Removing this from our youths education would be extremely foolish.

Dairy is the number one commodity in California. It is imperative to maintain a University and program dedicated to teaching toward careers in the dairy industry.

The hands-on teaching methods that have made Cal Poly's students so successful demands the keeping of this land for Agriculture education.

A master plan should not delete any lands used for agriculture. Period.
