Cal Poly's strength is in agri-science, science, engineering, and the arts. Once land is built upon, it is no longer available for Shri-science. Keep it open!

It is essential that agricultural land is preserved at Cal Poly. Cal Poly is unique because of Learn by Doing. There is no other university like Cal Poly. Cal Poly offers majors that are not offered anywhere else. All the countless thousands of Alumni have benefited from the tremendous hands on education we received at Cal Poly. If precious Agricultural land is taken away and destroyed then all of us will suffer. Where will the cattle live? Where will the students get their great hands on education? Save farm land!

Please do NOT replace the valuable ag lands with parking structures, recreational sports fields, or anything else!
I graduated with a Dairy Science Major and used these fields every day, they were vital to my learning and I have a very successful career due to my education. If you destroy them then the "learn by doing" will be taken away, and that would be a terrible decision.

If this master plan is approved and Cal Poly loses ag land, it just further indicates the "new" Cal Poly's lack of support for California agriculture, our state's number 1 industry.

Please do not build on the precious land. I appreciate the need for growth but not at the expense of providing a solid education for the students. We send out kids to Poly for the Lean by Doing not by sitting in classroom.
