just tragic if such a beautiful building is lost. Soon there will be nothing left but boring bland and characterless buildings. I do hope Bray Studios can be saved.

PROFIT BEFORE PEOPLE AND CULTURE Bray itself and Windsor get more crass resteraunts and tacky flats every year looking at the design of those destined for the studios lot a child could have designed more aesthetically pleasing boxes

always had great respect for Great Britain. If any country would have respect for tradition, it would be the United Kingdom. Cant believe demolition is even being considered.

With so much film work coming back into the UK in the form of SFX and VFX can we really afford to lose such a significant part of our cinegraphic history?

I personally believe that we need to keep our history in many different areas including production facilities for making movies. These facilities were most prominent in the Hammer films and other films this past century and it would be a shame that its film making legacy would not be acknowledged and if possible continued to be utilized in the industry. Perhaps even some opportunity for movie archival materials and props might also be presented for those interesting in visiting the facilities while productions could still be going on. An additional museum component to these facilities though much smaller may also attract visitors. I know that fans of movies would be interested in not only visiting the facility for its architectural and unique history but perhaps also to be again reunited with artifacts and materials from some of the films that were created there. I have fought for the preservation over the years at my university of buildings-sometimes short of stepping in front of a bulldozer.

It makes me sick to the stomach to think that we might lose this wonderful studio with so much history and so much more to give. Its use in recent pictures is a testament to that, and we have already lost so much studio and backlot space over the last twenty years or so. The thought of that wonderful building being turned into a load of synthetic riverside flats (like we don't have a lot of those....) Is just too much to bear. Also, money has been spent on some minor restorations to the studio in the last four years, that would be money gone to waste if these proposed plans go ahead. Let's protect this wonderful facility and strive to make more films in this country, to support and make improvements to Bray could be a huge boost to our considerably depleted film industry.

I have been a professional in the animation and visual effects motion picture industry since 1968 and Hammer Films/Bray Studios was part of my inspiration for getting into this business.
Please keep Bray Studios alive as a working studio if not at least a historical monument.
