I do agree with the people living in the neighborhood. It will not benefit their area, will cause too much additional traffic on the immediate roads through the neighborhood.

We have owned our home at 2079 Cascade View Dr. Bend, OR 97701 for 28 years. In that time a great deal of change has taken place. We are not adverse to growth and change, but feel the construction of 3 two story apartment buildings with a 59 car parking spaces to be located across the street from us is not in the interest of those who have purchased single family homes in the area. With the increase in traffic , it will create a safety issue for the families living in this single family home neighborhood. We have seen a great increase in traffic on College Way over the years and if this project goes through, it will increase even more. This project will not benefit any of the families living in the area, but will benefit the developer.

I own the home at 2136 NW Black Pines Place. This development as planned will add about 150 driving trips up/down Black Pines Place per day. This much traffic will absolutely ruin this neighborhood. I strongly oppose this development. A more appropriate type of development would be a few more homes similar to the ones already on Black Pines Place. That would be in keeping with the previously development.

The increased traffic will dramatically impact the quality of life for those living on Torrey Pines and Black Pines. Alternatives should be considered to bring traffic off of College way instead of through a residential neighborhood.

We feel this development will have hugely detrimental effects on the neighborhood in terms of noise and increased traffic in an area with small children and single family homes. A major draw to the neighborhood is the low traffic volume. There are more suitable areas in Bend for this type of development - not the Westside Pines neighborhood.

I am a homeowner on Torrey Pines Dr. Having extra traffic worries me because my children play on the street and take the bus home from the corner of Torrey and Monterrey Pines. Extra traffic means added potential for reckless driving which leads to accidents. I am very much against the building of apartments on Black Pines.

I live at 2198 NW Monterey Pines Drive, on the corner and will be greatly impacted by this project. I am hoping the city takes into account all the people who already live in this neighborhood and the impact it will have on us. Having a entrance to this project through Black Pines does not seem sustainable for either the current residents or the future apartment residents. An alternative entrance, for example, through College Way, would benefit all parties involved.

Owner of 2333 NW Monterey Pines Dr. for 11 years. With the development going on across the street on Shevlin Park Road, the continuing expansion of COCC and now proposing to add this apartment complex seems to be strangling what has been designated as a single family neighborhood. The effects of the development on Shevlin Park Road once it is finished is still yet to be seen, and yet another large development is being proposed.

Do not use Black Pines Pl as access for this proposed development. Preserve the neighborhood's value by evaluating access using another road outside this established neighborhood.

I concur with Matt Reeve post listed above. This designated piece of land should be designated for single family housing and not a for the proposed apartment complex. There are better locations suited for this type of apartment complex, which will have a far lesser impact on any other neighborhood such as this one. I am hoping common sense rules the day and that the city will not acquiesces to this development.
