Driller pride is huge. Please don't change Bakersfield High. In today's world there isn't a lot to be proud about. Would hate to see the effect this would have in Bakersfield.

The high speed rail is going to fail - from Bakersfield to Merced !!! Who cares, who will ride, WHY. Keep BHS , move the damn tracks west. Downtown doesn't need the congestion of a transit station around the hospitals, and infrastructure - BHS '62 Once a Driller, always a Driller

How can this be considered? BHS is over 100 years old. I have so many memories from attending that school. So sad that they can be washed away by new technology.

Bakersfield High School is too much a piece of Bakersfield's history to move its' buildings or jeopardize it's structures. It has been in its' current location for over 120 years and t would be a damn shame if we allowed this piece of our town's history to be changed or moved.

My dad went to BHS, my folks met and married while teaching at BHS, and my brother and I both attended BHS. I hope the school, and it's grounds, stay intact, so generations to come may claim the same.
Bad choice to destroy BHS & Mercy Hospital.
