My dad went to BHS, my folks met and married while teaching at BHS, and my brother and I both attended BHS. I hope the school, and it's grounds, stay intact, so generations to come may claim the same.

My mother went to this school and I went to several things here like plays and even a thing like River Dance.

BHS is a big part of what has made the people in this community who they are. However, it is obvious there is a larger agenda which requires eliminating potential freedom, liberty and independence by controlling our transportation…and our water, health care, education, etc. The general population has been tricked into bickering over where the train should go as opposed to demanding that the train ( or certain elected employees) simply go away! We could much more constructively take that money and save it for a rainy day...better yet, take it and build a canal or two.

Attended KCUHS from 1941-1945. The school is a large part of Bakersfield history and should remain inviolate to Fed, State and/or local developers. High-speed rail is a good idea perhaps but shouldn't destroy city history in the process.
