I work in the florists. I already know of one person who uses the bank weekly and comes to us for flowers afterwards. He will go to Stourport in January. How many more customers will we lose?

Bewdley needs a bank. Closing this branch is hardly HSBC being loyal to their customers

No Bank , No Cash Point . Plain stupid.
We need our bank and HSBC CANT afford not to support the people of this town.
As far as the Fire Station goes , a town of this size needs to have the security on the door step , not miles away .

We obviously do not matter Ruth! We are just a little dot on the map to people like HSBC. Regarding the Fire Service you think the powers that be would really have more sense. Close the town's fire service and move it further away and make sure the nearest hospital is a good 30 minutes away.

I am a mum of 2 without transport! If the bank at Bewdley closes I will have to get the bus to Kidderminster with my 5 month old in a pushchair to do my banking!! On top of that we will be left with only 1 cashpoint!! Bewdley is a tourist town and the cashpoints are extremely busy in high season as it is! I honestly don't know how we will manage!

A sad day for Bewdley. With the amount of wealthy old people in Bewdley I thought this would be worth keeping the bank open and limiting the opening times instead of closing.

It doesn't need to be just the people in Bewdley. What about the outside area's which use Bewdley as their local bank, local town. The trades people here that use the banks. Do we all not matter because we are not quite adding up to their spreadsheet figures. Then talk to the town about it, don't make a decision without consulting those who it affects. Head of HSBC it doesn't affect you sat a million miles away from Bewdley but what about US. Maybe if you closed your only bank in your town, would you have something to say about that? Of course not, because that would never happen. How many customers do you wish to loose? You had the monopoly when Barclays closed, yet rather than help us - the local bank for local people as you state, you close, without even a mention to your LOYAL CUSTOMERS, TOWN AND SURROUNDINGS. Cowardly way out, send out a letter, stick a notice in your windows. What about the staff that now have to face the angry customers every day whilst you sit back and do nothing. Are you going to accommodate their jobs, or have they to suffer as well. Scale down the bank, reduce the hours, the size of building etc but DO NOT CLOSE.
Soon there will be nothing left and we will look like Kidderminster high street, no shops and no trade. We do NOT want this to happen.
All it takes is all of us to make a stand of what they are doing.
I will not let this go without a fight and I know we have the support from the local businesses and council to do so.
SAVE OUR TOWN!

To leave a town without a bank is not acceptable! Stourport have 3!
Closing the bank will without a doubt have a massive knock on effect for the town

Not a good idea. I'm a pensioner but although fit to drive, the inconvenience of having to go to Kidderminster, where parking is some way from the bank - and with icy weather on its way - or Stourport, where parking is not good at the best of times. And there are many pensioners far less able than myself AND who don't drive. Inconvenient or what? Just keep this Bank open, it's right in the centre of town and the staff have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful.

I work and live in Bewdley this is going to be a major problem for personal and business in our small town .
I don't drive and being and busy working mother with a young family it's such a massive blow to me. I haven't got time to go in yo Kidderminster every week .
It's devastating news for me personally and the town. The staff are all so helpful and friendly and many of us will be lost without them.
