Considering the size of the town, the number of villages, hamlets etc. surely the town warrants at least one bank. I think a representative from HSBC should come and go through the process of 'depositing cash and cheques at the town's P.O.' ! I fear for the future of local folk, businesses, the bank employees and the 'empty' building. The demise of the village is now becoming the demise of the 'small' town. Not everyone can/wants to bank on-line, or take the bus/drive to the nearest facility.

I use that bank everytime im in town, without a bank there will be less sales and in consecuence less shows! I love bewdley, please dont let it become a ghost town!

Banks like Doctors surgeries attract people to the town where they may shop and therefore contribute to local community and support local business.

Bewdley is loosing so much , to close another bank in this area is madness. What will happen to our businesses will we loose them also. In the end no one will what to live in Bewdley with no services. also we will loose visitors to our beautiful town, This is not progress, just madness . The only service will have in Bewdley will be the huge medical centre, Without a fire station will be a very very bad move due to so many builds been timber framed which will put lives at risk.

The fire station is of paramount importance to the town and we cannot survive with one cash machine.

I love the little town of Bewdley we need to support our small towns and communities not shut them off from the rest of society closing vital facilities like a bank is a big thing not everybody in these little villages can get to the big cities to keep there financial affairs in order and

Both cash machines will go, so will leave us with the one in Tesco which 9 times out of 10 is out of service. So the only cash point will be at the garage the other side of the bridge a completely isolated for the elderly, less abled for them to be able to walk that far. The only other option being cash back at the Coop, which will raise their custom once again however it will take it away from everyone else.

They have apparently lost 40% footfall in the last 12 months, however when Barclays closed they refused their customers as they were too busy, and couldn't cope. Now it seems they should of taken those customers. The lease on the building runs until 2023 so why can they not scale down, open less hours etc they have done this in other towns so why not give us that option rather than deciding to close before consulting the people it affects.
