Cabrillo Bridge is an icon of the park. It is almost inextricable with Museum of Man and the our newly reopened California Tower. As a native of this city, I really want you to know that Cabrillo bridge is part of San Diego's identity.
Find a way to keep it as it is.

We will speak out again and make sure that our historic bridge continues to be preserved.

Don't do this. Balboa place is where I used to go as a child, and it's so rich in history and beauty. It would be a shame to make changes to it.

This is a horribly misguided plan that will tear away at the soul of the park, fail to address the numerous existing problems in the park, and waste valuable capital improvement funds in the process. Who on earth does this plan benefit? Certainly not the people of San Diego, nor Balboa Park itself!
