Ashbridge Park is an incredible asset of our community, and as far as I'm concerned, our Superintendent might as well have recommended building a school on the moon. With three elementary-school aged girls, we are regular users of the playground. As a runner, I use the paths. As someone who believes that we need to protect our environment for future generations, there is no way that I would consent to eliminating a park. As an estate planning attorney, I would not want to violate the wishes on the very generous Mrs Ashbridge who left the park to the Township. And, as a candidate for Lower Merion Commissioner who has knocked on over 1,000 doors in Villanova and Rosemont, I have heard the concerns of our community. Protecting the future of Ashbridge Park is of the utmost importance to me, and if elected, will be a top priority.

I fought a bus depot at Ashbridge Park years ago, and led the Ashbridge Park Master plan. I will lay down my body across the park to save it from ANY incursion by the School District or any other foe of the park! Ashbridge MUST remain the unspoiled gem it is--pastoral elegance with quiet uses for kids of all ages!

We need this park! The children of lower merino would be robbed of one of the only green spaces in the area. This fact, is highly upsetting.

I can't believe they would destroy a beautiful open space for development. There have to be other alternatives that do not jeopardize a historical, recreational space that is loved by many across the region for playing, walking, and enjoying its beautiful serene setting.

This is a beautiful park that my kids play at least 3 x a week. We also really enjoy walking around and spending time with other families. I hope this isn't demolished for another school.
