It would be an outrage if township disregarded the will and deed of Mrs. Ashbridge.

Isn't it ironic that the Superintendent of our school system, Robert Copeland, the very same school system that is entrusted with educating our children, is teaching them that breaching a legal instrument called a deed is ok? Not to mention the moral obligations and respect to honor the wishes of a very generous family who had the foresight to put the very specific deed restrictions into the deed along with remedies if the deed was not honored. Please send the website address www.SaveAshbridgePark.com to every one you can to get the word out and ask them to sign this petition which can be accessed from the website. Thank you!!

“Deeds are meant to be broken” may be one of the dumbest and short sighted comments uttered in this discussion. Why, pray tell would future donors wish to donate land as such if you state you have no intention of respecting the covenants of the gift?

This is absolutely unbelievable and a great disrespect to someone who obviously thought that Lower Merion would honor thier Bequest. I am speechless.

Mrs Ashbridge requested that her property remain a Park. Have the decency to honor her request. It is a beautiful place that should remain as is.
