This is an important part of our national literary heritage. Holmes is an iconic figure closely associated with this house. Undershaw cannot be allowed to be vandalised!

Undershaw is an important part of our literary heritage. It could be a wonderful heritage attraction with an inspiring and engaging programme of exciting arts and educational activities.

I have been to the Lake District and enjoyed visiting Wordsworths home in Grasmere. That is looked after with the respect it deserves, so does Undershaw!

We must not allow this house to fall into ruin and with its grounds be destroyed by greedy developers.
It has been done so many times all over the country

The last thing I would describe myself as is a "Sherlockian" but I support this house being preserved as a centre for the study of Conan Doyle's works.

Since a tiny child I have always loved Doyle's work.. Altering and splitting up for profit seems akin to destroying one of his literary works.

It is so important to see where people lived, I love visiting Howarth in Yorkshire to see the Bronte's home.
