I must confess that I have only really begun to appreciate Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's gift of Sherlock Holmes to the world. But what a blessing his gift has been! It goes without saying that preserving Undershaw would be the least we can do to show our thanks for the legacy Sir Conan Doyle has left for generations to come.

This is only my personal thought, but why don't people re-design (without losing its original form and stuffs) The Undershaw to be a live museum of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? A museum of the everything about him. Must be very amazing for sherlockians around the globe to be in Doyle's home. Feeling the same feeling when Doyle was writing his legendary novels.
It is much much better rather than just the plan to develop a.... townhome?

Besides being a victorian architectural classic this is also iconic in what it commemorates and has influenced the world over.
