Undershaw should be a house museum for Arthur Conan Doyle. Past proposals to split it into houses, and the current proposal for a school with changes to the interior and a huge extension, would spoil the house as ACD knew it.

If the Government give any kind of damn about tourism outside the capital, then they have to give a damn about saving and restoring Conan Doyle's Undershaw, in the heart of the New Forest.

Undershaw deserves to be resurrected and maintained as a legacy to the great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He gave us Sherlock Holmes, the greatest detective in literature so therefore, the least we could do is to Save Undershaw and protect this building from insensitive developers.
