An absolute must. We NEED community resources - get people out of their houses and away from their "mindless" TV programmes. A great film, a bite to eat, a drink at the bar - meet with friends and save a magnificent building - every success to you! - save the New Vic - one of the city's finest cinemas!!

It's appalling that this beautiful building is left until the developers can use the excuse that it's too derelict to keep. We need more community venues.

I live right opposite and I would love to see this building reinstated to its former state. It is a pity that it has been left to rot for so long.

This needs to be re-opend as an enterainment centre there is simply nothing in the South part of the city that fills the void created when the odeon was closed.
Even jus a cinema would be better than having to travel over the city to find one.

The New Victoria has so much potential to become the staple in the Edinburgh arts scene that it once was. We need to make Edinburgh a place worth living in, instead of ripping down her assets for student housing that will be obsolete in 5 years time.

I have good memories of regularly using this cinema in its final year (my first living in Edinburgh) and was gutted when it closed. There are plenty of great examples of restoring once-closed cinemas, and it’s saddening that this hasn’t been returned to use as a cinema.

Amazing building was the best cinema i have ever been in as the original single screen cinema. this could be the best in the uk . Please do something positive with this building such a sin letting a amazing building going to waste

Saw all the original Star Wars Movies In This building. Great memory's but its a crying shame thats its benning left to rot. Save it now
