Reject the Special Permit for 1442 Main St., West Concord, MA

Please don't let this happen!

I live on Main St and the traffic and speed of cars is dangerous. I miss the sound of birds and the animals like fisher cats, raccoons and deer don't have anywhere to roam and are forced into neighborhoods. Please save the trees and deny this permit for 1442 Main St.

Please reject this proposal. It would be devastating to Concord to take down so many trees just to add more housing. Save out charming woods and birds.

This land can be developed more thoughtfully in a way that respects its natural topography. Removing this many trees & allowing a project with this much embodied carbon via the earth-moving plan is a worst practice in modern construction. Concord will be stuck remediating the adverse effects of this project for decades to come while the developers walk away with a sweet profit & take no responsibility for the damage they're doing. This project is wrong for Concord.

Concord needs more affordable housing options to enrich our community and allow for more socioeconomic diversity in this town. I believe that we can find ways to do this while still protecting our old growth trees and essential open spaces. The developer needs to come up with a much better plan that does not violate all of Concord's Sustainability principles.

Stop this proposed subdivision!

More than 60,000 square feet of soil removed is ridiculous. This feels like such a money grab. There are other ways that are more sensitive to the environment and the neighborhood to proceed. This is not in keeping with what the town meeting voted on for Climate Action and Resilience Goals.

This is a bad plan for West Concord. Anything that moves so much soil and cuts so many trees is wrong.

STOP all of these developers from ruining west concord!! The houses aren’t even affordable too boot

If Concord has taken the time to write and support a Climate Change and Resiliency Plan, then we must follow it now! This project is a prime example why such a plan is essential. The real estate development is literally out of control and the ZBA must conform it’s own plan!

This will change the village feel of W Concord.

Save the trees!!!

We, the residents of West Concord, are tired of the destruction of our neighborhood' natural elements. I ask the prospective developers: how would you feel if it were your neighborhood?

There is no justification to clear cut these trees other than greed.

The proposed destruction that would precede "construction" here is unconscionable. Much greater respect is due to nature and current and future residents. This plan not appropriate for this site.

Effective change on a global scale cannot take root without ceasing the environmental degradation on the local level. The disruption and destruction of nature threatens the health and well-being of us humans and all of Earth’s species. If we’re serious about conservation and the climate we can’t stand by and watch the rapidly increasing disappearance of wood lands and open spaces in our town and neighborhood.

Sometimes people are concerned that the Town will be sued.. Hey, they sue anyway! Do the right thing!

We must call on our Natural Resources Commission to pay attention to their Full Charge, and speak for Natural Preservation in all of Concord, and not only limit their task to upholding the Wetlands Bylaw alone. We MUST recognize the primary importance of natural preservation in resisting climate change, along with alternative energy bylaws.

If Concord is serious about battling climate change, the town needs to start with preserving our trees and topsoil. We've already lost so much to development-- please start here with a renewed pledge for preservation.

This is an abomination. Kindly protect the earth and our community.
