Please do not consider closing Manea Fire Station. Manea is several miles from anywhere and the engine is needed in the village and to cover surrounding small villages. A fire station is needed here for safety it takes too long for other engines to come to our village

Closing a community volunteer fire station by starving it of further recruitment is an abysmal policy by any organisation but especially one committed to saving lives and property.
Manea may have a small population at present, but, with the constant building works around the village, the demand for a local fire station can only increase.
Closure is, surely, a step too far and in the wrong direction.
