Save the station, Manea too far out the way and with our roads a speeding fire engine could so easily end up in a ditch!!

This is an absolute disgrace that a very rural community like Manea is left with out a fire station. With the state of the roads leading in and out of Manea any emergency service vehicle is going to be delayed at any incident especially with the next nearest fire stations being at least a 10 to 15 minute drive away. This should not be about stream lining or saving money, saving, preserving and helping life should take priority.

I live in Manea. How can it even be considered to close our fire station! As a growing community, we are surrounded by farmland from all directions. We are approx 9 miles off the beaten track, sometimes conditions may make getting to us quite time consuming. If we have an emergency, our local fire service can be with us in minutes, a life can be saved, a property can be saved, crops can be saved. Our fire service also provides a back-up to help other emergency services. Closing local services are putting lives at risk.
