Save Yorkshire

Infill that is not well integrated with the existing houses in an area, damages the character of an area, reducing amenity values, and thus property values. Infill development often ends up reducing open space, trees and vegetation. It can also have environmental impacts such as increased run off and increased erosion. Existing neighbors with a vested interest in the Yorkshire neighborhood - taxpayers [Memphians who have not yet fled the city to move to nearby suburban towns/municipalities or across state lines] - will experience first hand the negative impact on community when poorly designed and built infill housing is approved. Attention to the design and quality of the materials and construction is essential to ensure that new development fits the existing context of a neighborhood.

We need to save and protect our neighborhoods

Yet another neighborhood greedy developers are determined to destroy. Stop them!

This property is in middle of block of single family homes - do not change to cramped infills with architecture not in keeping with neighborhood.

This must be stopped. Funny how they tried to sneak it by us with nothing more than submissions to the LUCB and a neighborhood meeting at the house and measly Facebook responses and amended plans. They could be trying to sneak in shadow governments buildings into our own backyards. We must fight this. All lives matter! Check out my blog at infowars dot com

This proposed subdivision is inappropriate for the neighborhood. Infill is ugly.

Stop destroying beautiful neighborhoods!

I am amazed that it could be legal to allow rezoning of 1 lot, in the middle of a subdivision

If people want zero lots they can move to a zero lot community. The neighborhood was not designed for the extra traffic flow either.

This past year, my husband and I restored the original farm house to the colonial acres neighborhood. We could have easily torn it down and built a quad plex, but we did not. We did what was right, and what honored our neighbors and the history of the community.

This property shares a very long fence with my backyard and I was not notified of this potential subdivision

Preserve all neighborhoods. But the developers shower the politicians with money and favors. Until pacs etc. are regulated the developers will win.
