It is vital to keep parking spaces at the Woodhead car park to support local business and provide parking for their customers. I do not agree that it would encourage people to walk into New Ferry shopping centre, it is more likely people will drive elsewhere to shops they can park near to. This would have a massive impact on businesses in the New Ferry area.

Sot hat we may hope to one day regenerate the high street we need space for shoppers to park. Small business owners looking to open shops in the high street will take their businesses elsewhere if we don't have the foot traffic to support them. Removing this car park will force drivers to busy up nearby residential streets causing disturbance to local residents. People need safe and secure places to park to minimize potential damage to their vehicles. People with cognitive and mobility disabilities need to have access to parking close to shops and local amdnities

Please save this valuable car park. New Ferry was a thriving town in the 60's to 90's. We need to get the heart beating again in this once great place and attract new business. If the car park goes, it will sound the death knell and more businesses will move away.

I regularly use this car park as the other car park is often full,especially when it’s the Farmers market.
Be no where to park eventually and that definitely kill the businesses in New Ferry.

I agree! If this goes ahead New Ferry will be left with nowhere near enough parking spaces which will mean people will park in surrounding roads where residents struggle as it is to park near their own homes!
