Wood Rd is the surgery of choice. It is convenient,easily accessible pleasant and the doctors seem more relaxed.Also the nearby pharmacists are so helpful. It would be better to use more of the facilities at Wood Rd than fighting for twice or three times through traffic both ways across Tettenhall road,particularly if you are feeling ill, which why we seek medical help after all. It would be a complete disaster for the surgery to close. With an ageing population and an increasing number of properties being built in the area for the elderly it is imperative that the Wood Road surgery remains open. Until Doctor Maxwell retired years ago the surgery in Tettenhall Wood was distinctly separate from the Lower Green surgery. In the early '90s. the old surgery in Wood Road was expanded, taking some of the Institute land (land attached to the building which I believe was originally given by people like the Manders for the benefit of the local community of Tettenhall Wood) in order to provide a better service to those living in Tettenhall Wood. When I attended the one of the first meetings about the closure I was amazed to find that the surgery buildings were owned by one part of the NHS (NHS Buildings?) and rented out to the doctors. It would seem that one part of NHS wants to make a profit from the delivery section of the NHS. I think that this is abominable, especially as the Institute land that the council must have sold to the NHS would only be used to erect more expensive housing at a junction that is already becoming a danger spot. If the present practice cannot get the rent reduced to an affordable level and keep the Wood Road surgery open then the Tettenhall Wood buildings should be handed to another practice or newly appointed doctor in order to keep a doctor in the village. Failing that, the NHS should be forced to return that portion of land that the council signed over to them so that it could continue to be used for the benefit of the local population.

It is essential to have medical provision in Tettenhall wood . The area has an aging population and young families who will be unable to get to lower green because there is no direct transport. This proposal is a retrograde step. We have lived in the area for over 30yrs and considered ourselves very lucky to be patient s at this practice with wonderful service. Please find a way for that situation to continue .

Too far, insufficient parking etc etc etc current surgery is busy will be difficult to merge numbers

We need this medical practice to keep open it is handy for our elderly what are they going to do if it moves how will they get there when the winter comes surely more doctors will have to make home visits putting more stress on the medical services

Disgusted at this news. It's ok for us able bodied folk, but what about the folk who are most likely to need to see a doctor, the youngest and the eldest. Lower Green is a fair distance away.

Disaster for the local community of this closes. Think about the less mobile and elderly and those without transport!

Keep the surgery open

Loss of this practice well mean a lot of older people and those with disabilities not getting access to care and help they need.

Keep open too far for elderly to get to lower st.

The surgery is a much needed community service and should have investment not the threat of closure.
