Our AV schools are overcrowded with large classroom sizes as it is. This will not help to improve our children's learning environments. Please keep Wood Cyn open!!

Class sizes at neighboring schools are already at a maximum. Closing Wood Canyon would only result in sending students from that school to neighboring schools and making current class sizes too large.

Save Wood Canyon! Our child goes to public school. Our family depends on public education. The cost of private education is too expensive for us.
Send Community Roots Academy on their way and make them find their own campus. Maybe the additional overhead would put them out business? I'm only against private schooling when it starts impacting the availability and quality of public education.

Don't close this school down. We already have enough issues as it is with lack of funding for public schools. Now you have a school that has been in this community for 20 years and has grown with the community only to have the rug pulled out from underneath itself so we can make room for a Charter School that doesn't have a proven track record with their alternative teaching program? I will definitely make it a point to pay attention to who we elect to the board come reelection time. One voice may not mean much, but with the right push via social media - the ability to create change is a powerful thing. Make the right decision and look at the school staff and students in their eyes when you decide to pull the plug on a 20 year heritage all bc some special interest is being served by favoring a charter school. #Unrooted #PullOutTheRoots

Wood Canyon should not close for a charter school. 450 students is far too many to be absorbed into other elementary schools in Aliso Viejo.

As a Wood Canyon Alum now in college, I would be heartbroken. It would be unfair not only to the children of Wood Canyon, but to the teachers who would lose their jobs.
