As a pilot that flies out of the windsor airport I feel that having a control tower here is essential. the safety of the air traffic community would be jeopardized if the tower was to be terminated. Not only is there a large amount of local traffic that flies in and out of the airport at various times throughout the day, Having airspace extremely close Detroit makes it even more dangerous not having a control tower.

This tower needs to be preserved. It is a vital backup airport for DTW and DET. It manages complex international airspace issues. In addition, there are two flight schools operating out of this facility (Windsor Flying Club and Journey Air) and the University of Windsor's flight training program.
Cargo is flown in that helps facilitate the JIT needs of the automotive industry. If anything there should be more of a renewed focus on how to create a logistics hub in the region... not close off that opportunity by reducing the critical services at the airport.

As a student at the airport, the tower is vital to Windsor's economy and the airport's safety. The losses in airport safety, security, and local economy if the tower were to shutdown would be terrible. Save the tower.

Windsor-Essex continues to grow, which essentially leads to more people travelling out of WIA. Quit taking from Windsor, Ontario doesn't stop at Toronto.
