Went thru all this as the Tower mamager back in the 1080's. It was proved then that although the actual arrivals and departures are on the low end to provide air traffic control, the co ordination required to effectively safely, and efficiently is dependent on qualifies Air Traffic controllers working in conjuntion with their American counterparts at Detroit Metro Tracon, Cleveland Centre and Detroit City Airport. This co ordination thru complex airspace is essential to preventing another mid air collision that ossured over East Windsor.

We must maintain a control tower at CYQG, for safety! We cannot risk any aircraft incidents or accidents over the city due to confusion, or conflicting traffic.

I grew up in Windsor, and I'm a pilot for an airline that operates regular passenger flights into CYQG. Given the complex airspace around Windsor & its big neighbor Detroit, it's crucial that air traffic control remain at this airport, not only for safety but also for efficiency.

Windsor needs the controllers in the tower to watch for our historic aircraft. This airspace can be very busy with Detroit right next to it.

Atc at windsor Airport is not an option. There is commercial scheduled flights, private flights, two flight schools and a variety of private aircraft all beneath the DTW control zone for incoming and outgoing flights. ATC is not an option it is a requirement for everyone's safety.

The airspace is too complicated. With KDTW and their airspace that is to the south. Also with KDET to the north and riverside descent area. Sometimes it is not all about movements. This is a safety issue.
