As a private pilot from the Windsor area it is important to have a controlled air tower at our airport for safety of commercial and private aircraft from Windsor, Detroit City and Detroit Metro airports within close proximity.

As a former Director at Windsor International Airport, YQG has and continues to be an important part of the air traffic system between Southwestern Ontario, DTW and tri-state region. YQG is an important air traffic navigator in this system. The threat of NAV closure has surfaced in the past. And YQG proved to be significant then and has shown significant increase in air traffic growth. It would be most detrimental and shortsighted to consider the departure of the NAV control when YQG’s economic relevance is a key component to the regions vitality.

Windsor and Essex county are too large and area a population to not have an airport. It’s ridiculous to think that closing the airport down is even being considered. I can’t believe tax payers dollars are being wasted considering this. They need to be considering how to compare to other similar airports and truely understand if it is efficient and then if it’s not, they need to manage it better and make it more efficient. Closing it is simply should not be an option.

Save the airport at all costs. It is vital to our identity in windsor.

This is a very important hub for windsor. If we loose it you are giving all our money and opportunity for growth over to Detroit and the U.S. Please find a way to let yqg airport survive

The airport is the best service for both recreational and support to local businesses and best economic tool in the tool box to bring jobs to the region

It would be terrible to lose air traffic contr in Windsor!

Windsor has a much higher and more complex air traffic than London, and yet London is never on the review list to remove air traffic controllers. Why is that?? Nav Canada apparently places a much higher priority on profit over safety. Why is the Ford government allowing this? Shame on you !

We need our tower to preserve commercial flights. Others Detroit Metro will be the alternative.

It is important to keep our jobs in Windsor, but first and foremost to keep our airspace safe for all.

With detroit airspace at 3000 feet and two flight training clubs at windsor and increased commercial traffic the tower is greatly nedded for safety

Tower has helped myself and a lot of other pilots get around the area safely and effectively. The airspace is unique and compounded with both professional and training environments. We need a tower here at YQG for both safety and logistics. There's enough recorded information out there to justify keeping it open. We are also proud to be a viable option for current and future operators using the airport. We also need to sign the new petition going to Parliament so they can hear our requests as well! https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-3006

We need the tower to keep us safe and to continue service both internationally and within Canada particularly Toronto.

Short sighted to even consider cutting this service. They have been invaluable service even during the pandemic in helping to keep the supply chain infrastructure alive ... I know, because I am part of it as a corporate pilot based in YQG.

Closing the tower in Windsor is not an intelligent idea let alone using common sense on the part of Nav-Can. Please have a better assessment done. Thank you

Windsor is in close proximity to Detroit Metro, and Detroit City airports, where conflicting traffic needs to be handled for arrivals and departures. Not to mention that departure traffic could be delayed, affecting all consumers, leaving Windsor because a departure release would have nto come from the U.S., thru the Canadian system.
