We need a tower here, once this BS covid is over and planes get flying again, we need them. Especially this close to the US

This is not a good idea. As Windsor becomes more of a retirement location, having access to a properly managed airport will be important. As well, other improvements and growth for the region are complimented by having the airport as part of the infrastructure.

This could potentially not end well with Windsor and Detroit air traffic converging to not have a proper ATC at CYQG.

This airport needs a better head on its shoulders. They need someone to help it grow and run more smoothly. Coming from a past employee, probably one of the most dysfunctional places Ive worked at and not much care from management.

I have flown both for business and recreation for the last 30+ years out of Windsor. Most of my flying has been in the IFR environment both in eastern Canada and the US. and both towered and non-towered airports. Windsor is unique especially flying IFR with the proximity to the USA and Detroit Bravo airspace. The tower is an important factor in safety and efficiency of business aviation.

Mr. Garneau,
It is in the best interest of aviation safety that ATC at YQG remains open.

As a pilot with a private license, that extra level of safety provided by the control tower is critical

This airport is instrumental in those of us who want to live in Windsor but travel to Toronto for work. By closing you are causing people to reduce their ability to grow in their careers.
