Save William Blake's house as cultural centre

I wonder how amazing the world will be once we all understand the significance of those who inspired & had such impact in the whole humanity and William Blake was a visionary who's work contributed vastly to the humanity. Growing up in the slums of Brazil, I was lucky to have come across Blake's Song of Innocence and songs of Experience which inspired me to learn another language & delve deeper into his work. Travelling to London for the first time many years ago, my sister and I visited the building Blake lived & felt the deep lack of understanding and appreciation for the Blake's legacy! This is such an importando project!

Let's United Kingdom rise and shine with what truly belong to the human heritage: William Blake.

Blake was total realised visionary.

William & Catherine Blake’s apartment at 17 South Molton Street is a unique special place being the only surviving London living and working space of englands greatest poet, prophet, artist and printmaker. The integrity of this place and space must therefore be protected and maintained for future generations.

I should have thought that the creation of the William Blake Cultural Centre was 'an obvious' given his world-wide renown.

Blake has never been more important if we are to understand our times; the places he lived crucial signs of his significance.

A cultural gem needs saveing

William Blake is a true Londoner, born and breed. As his last surviving home, 17 South Molton Street is the perfect and most fitting location to honour him and his incredible contribution to humanity. Our true National Anthem is Blakes 'Jerusalem', so let's do the right thing for him and us all.

William Blake is the national treasure of England and the whole world told for that matter. His legacy is difficult to underestimate. Visionary well ahead of his time, epitome of wisdom, a painter, poet and a inventor/publisher , he was the key for England’s development in spiritual enlightenment and a leader in fighting for the freedom, light and peace. It is absolutely imperative that his house as well as his works are saved, looked after and treasured for the future generations to derive inspiration and courage to face ever changing realities of modern living.

Blake is an essential part of our culture, now more than ever, and I support the William Blake Fellowship 100% in their proposal for his home.

As the last surviving home of a very influential artist, writer and a true Londoner, it would be wonderful to see this property made into a cultural destination where the local community and international visitors alike can come together in Mayfair to meet, to make, to learn and to enjoy Blake’s cultural legacy. Once these properties are sold off, the opportunity for maximising social impact can be lost for generations, so now is the time to progress this exciting project.

Such a lovely initiative! It’s designed to preserve the values of the British people.
