I have a pet pot belly of my own and he sleeps in the bed with me. Its not right to take away a part of someone's family. Animal or otherwise

My friend has a pet pig, and she truly is no different than a dog. Pigs are easily trained and aren't any louder than the average dog, nor are they dirty animals, despite the stereotype. There's no logical reason to disallow a desexed, vaccinated pig from living within the city limits.

Ordinance 952 was not designed to limit potbelly pigs within the City of Jonesboro, and the Ordinance should be amended accordingly to allow potbelly pigs to be kept as pets...

I understand the meaning behind the ordinance but any animal that is domesticated and clean as these are need to have an amendment made to be allowed. I couldn't imagine having a family member, as these certainly are, to be removed forcibly because of an ordinance that was put in place before this particular breed had been domesticated.

This ordinance is ridiculous! Where was animal control 5 years ago? They wait until the family is attached and the poor little pigs are attached to them. It is devastating for any animal to be taken from their family! People act like they have no feelings, but they love and grieve just like we do! I live in Manila and they have an ordinance against farm animals, except for the ones that live inside. I understand not wanting a pig sty in the city, they smell horrible, but inside pigs are very clean. I hope you get enough signatures to end this stupidity!

Pigs are very friendly, and are smarter than dogs as long as they are raised as pets and come and go in the house i see nothing wrong with them
