My local park has planted fruit trees for us all to share should we wish, perhaps put a gated fence around them to contain the Majority of the fruit instead?? We should be feeding those in need not taking away! Are you going to temove every single trip hazard? We both know this is impossible!

This is utterly absurd. So now apple trees aren’t allowed to produce fruit in case somebody trips on an apple. Yes health and safety is of course important to councils but this is utter madness. For goodness sake put a low fence around them but please don’t fell these apple trees. We are in a climate emergency and every tree matters. Also the apples are food for both locals and wildlife and these trees must be saved

For goodness sake see some sense! In my 54 years of living in the New Forest I have never tripped over an fallen apple, acorn, fallen branch, leaf or acorn. There is far too much felling of trees and disregard of nature and this is a step too far!

Destroying healthy trees is vandalism and The fruit is free food, leave them be and allow people to enjoy them. Signs to make people be aware of any risks would be sufficient.

Council do your job. Preserve the trees and sweep the path. Dispose of biomas in a carbon neutral manner.
