Boilermakers Local 627 out of Phoenix Arizona has work at San Juan generating station Coronado generating station Springerville generating station aps Cholla our plan aps 4 Corners power plan and many many more several of these plants are shutting down in the next few years and we are losing hundreds and hundreds of jobs the last major outage we did at aps 4 Corners at 420 Boilermakers on it between four contractors
When they are counting jobs being lost they are not thinking of the temporary outage workers that come in during the shut downs and maintenance work

Ignoring the word salad that this is, claiming there are studies and failing the burden of proof to provide sources is blunder 101. All I see are a bunch of whiney conservative snowflakes crying "muh jobs!" There is a reason the global economy is making a shift toward renewable energy. The pushback is simply corporate entities more worried about their short-term profit than long-term cause and effect. Coal workers should train in renewable energy jobs. If they don't at this point, they've only got themselves to blame if they find themselves without work, because we know this is a long time coming. I'm probably talking to a brick wall, though. Right-wingers have been conditioned to believe whatever talking points come their way without running them by their own critical thinking skills, because coming to any conclusion other than what the status quo demands is shunned in that community. Quite sad, really. RIP America

We have cleaner coal in Wy. I don't think we are ready to totally phase out Coal plants , and there has to be some balance as we go . Train the coal miners for other energy jobs , but don't just lay them all off . Even if they are all big babies when life gets hard for them .
