I really hope they don't close it and that the right decision will be made in the end. Places like this are so important for children's development and for the community in general.

I've been using the Wendell Park Children's Centre for the past 5 years and now my children go to Wendell School. On days when you have to get out of the house (ie every day with small children) the centre is a safe haven, out of the elements where children are stimulated and socialise & mums find others going through the same challenges they are.

As a young mum, places like this are vital. I would have easily slipped into post natal depression had I not had venues like this to go to.

Please don't close this much needed centre. These endless cuts are deeply harmful. Wendell Park Children's children centre plays an important part in the community helping to enhance learning for children and their socalisation skills, and build confidence in parents.

My adopted son and now my daughter have used this centre over the last 5 years and it had been an important place to bond and allow the children to develop whilst forming important networks with other mums. It is very convenient to all the other local amenities so served the local community very well.

I cannot emphasise enough how much I love the centre and Keisha (sorry if spelling is incorrect). It has provided a safe heaven for me and my child during a very difficult time in my life and continues to be one of our favourite places in the area!
I can't believe that it's closure it's even been considered! I know budgets are tight, but closing this wonderful centre is definitely not the solution! Please keep the centre open! Thank you.
