This is a terrible idea, Council needs to rethink this plan. The smell would be disgusting not to mention the health concerns of waste baking in the sun for 2 weeks..

Dog poo, cat litter, food containers, nappies etc etc baking in the hot sun for two weeks. Lake Mac is going to be known as the smelliest council area. Not to mention the health concerns. Please rethink this dum idea.

Keep the weekly bin service! The bins will be overflowing if only emptied a fortnight. What do you expect us to do then?? What about hygiene from unsanitary rubbish sitting in the bin for a fortnight? Have you really thought this through? No really, have you?

I nursed two elderly neighbours both with diapers and believe me the bins were full and smelly every week this will be a disaster

This is going to be a bad idea. It isn't going to make people more mindful of their rubbish and it isn't going to increase people recycling. If the amount of rubbish is the concern introduce small red bins still have weekly pick up. Surely the smell, increase maggots, increase hygiene issues are just a few reasons its a bad idea.

This seems to be a penny pinching strategy by council to the detriment of residents (and ratepayers). Will our rates be reduced as well? I don’t think so!!

This is detrimental to residents You have trouble with ppl dumping rubbish in bushland parks etc now with weekly pick ups How stupid can a council get We have ppl cleaning up our bushland and waterways to "Keep Australia Beautiful " Has any of our Counselors ever been to some cities in USA where this applies Streets are like rubbish dumps as bins not big enough to cope with anymore than 1 weeks refuse This is stupidity

What happens with ppl with dirty nappies in a bin in hot weather (which is most of the year) a week they stink. 2 weeks will be disgusting. Food waste is not an issue when compared to nappies etc

Absolutely ridiculous! Not just the stench, but the bins are not big enough to hold two weeks worth of garbage. Bigger bins will have to be delivered to every household and then a rate reduction if they are reducing service.

I am a family of 6 about to be 7 with a newborn on the way we only use one bin as we recycling everything we can and still fill our green bin weekly I am not happy about this as I will end up with rubbish build up around my house which is in healthy for my family

Regular bin collection is very important to my family, and I feel an important part of keeping the area clean. Please don’t reduce the bin collection frequency

I run a family Day Care business so you can imagine how many nappies are in my bin. This will be a MAJOR issue for me ....
