We need to keep weekly normal bin pick ups. The smell after a week is bad enough but for 2 weeks it will be unbearable. I hope this does not come about but if it ever does we as rate payers expect our rates to reduce accordingly.

As a carer for an incontinent elderly mother with small bins already I find this decision based on a such small section of the community appalling

Didn’t work in the UK! Encouraged rats as the bins overflowed.

It's absolutely disgusting leaving a bin for 2 weeks

So is the council going to reduce everyones rates. I think not. The bin service needs to stay. People put out their bins when needed not just because its bin day.

We require our red rubbish bins to remain weekly because of some people having stinky nappies or cat litter. If you put it fortnightly we will have maggots and smelly bins

Disgusting, as rate payers we are entitled to a weekly pick up! Otherwise there will be garbage spilling over the streets which is a major health issue!

We have smelly bins as it is.I have 2 dogs and after 5 days my bin stinks. The smell from my bin alone will reach from Eleebana to the council chambers at Speers point in less than 2 weeks. Smelleebana !

Weekly collections should be mandatory, a basic and necessary hygiene necessity. Council rates are paid for a reason .... to provide services to the community.
