It just is not good enough to get half of the service and pay the same rates. Per dollar of land value, rates in Lake Macquarie LGA are dearer than rates in Sydney. Council should be justifying its expenditure to ratepayers.

Weekly collection of our green bin general waste must be kept. Cannot believe this council has implemented a change without consulting its rate payers.

No.. i’ll Just have to visit the bins in parks and drop off our over flowing of rubbish from our general waste bin. Family of 5 ours is always full by weeks end and is our recycle bin fortnightly

This will lead to rubbish over flowing into the wider community. Perhaps the new tourist advertising campaign will read " Come visit beautiful Lake Macquarie. Enjoy the stench and the vermin!"

Nappies, sanitary items, food scrapes and everyother smelly thing that goes in a bin baking for a week? Isn't Lake Macquarie going to smell lovely. And have an abundance of flys.
